“It is my privilege to serve as Mayor of the City of Dickson and I am extremely proud to present to you some of our recent achievements. It is hard to name another moment in our city’s history when Dickson has been as well positioned to seize the opportunities before us. As our economy and population continue to grow, new industries are developing and are complementary to the overall area. Our parks system has many new improvements under way, and our county school system has a long range plan in sight which will benefit the schools within the city limits. Churches, schools, and recreational programs are strong within the community and help to strengthen our overall community.”

Dr. Weiss was born in Dickson County, graduated from Dickson County Senior High School in 1976, received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1980, and in 1986 received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis.
